We at Hope Ministries, Inc. are committed Christian believers seeking to minister God's healing grace to the wounded and broken hearted. Hope House Orphanage is registered in Zambia to care for homeless orphans. Reverend Charles and Margaret Mumba founded the orphanage and are currently providing food, schooling, and shelter for over 200 children in Zambia, Africa.
The country of Zambia lies in the tropical belt of South Central Africa. It covers 750,000 square kilometers -- big enough to swallow up France, Austria, Switzerland, and Hungary combined. Zambia is one of the poorest countries in Africa. About 80% of the Zambian people live on less than one dollar per day (far below the poverty level). At least one out of every five Zambians is infected with HIV/AIDS. Recent statistics state that 15.1% of all Zambian children aged 14 and below are orphaned. At this writing, Zambia has approximately 1,500,000 orphans under the age of 18 years. The country has over 100,000 street children. HIV/AIDS has hit almost every family in Zambia -- one is either infected or affected. How You Can HelpIt costs $50 per month to care for each child at the orphanage. The greatest expense is food. Prayerfully consider becoming a partner of Hope House Orphanage by making a one-time gift or a monthly commitment. Donations may be sent to: Hope Ministries, Inc. Thank you for helping to save Zambia's children. |
